Catherine Walsh, MCCI & CCAN Technology Centre Co-ordinator, received the UCC Research Support Person of the Year award at the UCC Staff Awards held on the 8th October. Catherine has supported the growth and success of MCCI since 2013. She has helped support MCCI’s partners including industry and academic partners, Centre Steering Committee, state agencies, visiting professors and the Technical Steering Group. Catherine also leads financial claims and research expenditure for the Centre. Her support has been fundamental to allow research staff to focus on delivering growth of MCCI and growing UCC’s reputation internationally within industry as a location delivering world class research and operating best-in-class industrial R&D practices. MCCI congratulates Catherine for this well deserved award.
