MCCI HOSTS AACD 2021 WITH RECORD ONLINE AUDIENCE

For the first time in AACD’s history, this landmark conference is a fully virtual event boasting record registration figures in excess of 650 people. MCCI, Microelectronic Circuits Centre Ireland, is the proud sponsor of AACD 2021 which will run over 6 days until 30th March. MCCI was due to host the event in Cork last year, but due to the pandemic, the team decided to move it online, thereby enabling a record attendance.

As the first week of the conference draws to a close, Dr. Ivan O’ Connell, Head of Precision Circuits MCCI and member of AACD Organising committee said, “Hosting this year’s AACD Conference as a fully virtual event has given us the opportunity to welcome researchers, engineers and students from across Ireland and around the globe. The record number of attendees shows how vital this event is at the moment and how MCCI continues to lead the way in microelectronics education, despite the constraints of the pandemic.”

AACD brings together experts who are advancing the frontiers of analog circuit design to brainstorm on new future possibilities. The themes for the conference are:

  • Analog Circuits for Machine Learning
  • Current, Voltage and Temperature Sensors
  • High-Speed Communication

The program committee:

  • Ivan O’ Connell, Head of Precision Circuits, MCCI, Tyndall National Institute, Cork, Ireland
  • Pieter Harpe, Associate Professor, Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands
  • Andrea Baschirotto, Professor, University of Milano-Bicocca, Milan, Italy
  • Kofi Makinwna, Professor, Department Head, Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands

The conference continues next week.
