Cryogenic CMOS & Data Converters

Gerardo Salgado obtained the PhD in Electronics Engineering from Institute INAOE, Mexico, 2015. Since 2016 he has been with the Microelectronic Circuits Centre Ireland (MCCI), where he leads a number of groups in the research areas of Cryogenic CMOS circuits for quantum computing, ASICs for biomedical applications, and precision analogue to digital converters. He has authored a number of IEEE papers and book chapters in these areas. His research interests expand to Noise-Shaping ADCs, SAR ADCs, Sigma-Delta Modulators, Digital Signal Processing, high speed serial links, CAD tool development, and Edge AI.

Dr. Gerardo Salgado pioneers research in Cryogenic CMOS circuits for quantum computing, biomedical ASICs, and precision ADCs,  with numerous IEEE publications, his expertise spans Noise-Shaping ADCs, Analog Front Ends, high-speed serial links, Digital Signal Processing, among others, driving innovation in advanced electronics.
